I step outside and a fresh breeze kisses my cheek.

The sun hovers just above the dewy horizon.

I inhale deeply and smell hope; I sense an awakening.

Just above my head a chickadee chirps his uplifting song.

He sounds as excited as my heart feels.

I gaze at the open field beside my home.

Hints of chartreuse tinge the new grasses poking through the moist soil.

That lime-green hue that whispers SPRING

I thought it would never come this year….even the crocuses have taken too long to announce it’s arrival!

A myriad of feathered friends join the chickadee to announce that it is true……

Spring is here to soothe our aching souls….

It was a long cold winter

I Smile; MY heart Hums in time to the violins I hear in the trees.
