<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Boxes in my office hold volumes of stories and other writings I never finished.<\/p>\n Even though I wrote this (train of thought) piece years ago I remember it vividly.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It was early June after a grueling week of teaching. I\u2019d had a couple of martinis downstairs with Bob, but he fell asleep.<\/p>\n I was finishing the last of my martini at my desk trying to begin writing a story that had been on my mind for days.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Help Me, I am searching for the meaning of <\/em>it all!<\/em><\/p>\n I stared at the sentence for a long spell. I poured another drink.<\/p>\n \n \u00a0<\/span>Back at my desk when I read that line OUT LOUD<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I answered OUTLOUD\u2026.<\/p>\n \n Open your mind, pour all those words in your mind on a page without lifting your pen.<\/p>\n \n Write, write write\u2026.Do Not Think\u2026.Just write.<\/p>\n \n \u00a0<\/span>I wrote in all Caps, no spaces and no punctuation.<\/p>\n \n I wrote slow and steady without stopping to read what I had written.<\/p>\n \n I wrote until I reached the bottom of the page and felt that I had said all<\/p>\n \n I had to say.<\/p>\n \n When I read what I had written. I was not surprised.
